Hi Friends! Right off the bat, let me put this out there...We’re friends, even if I don’t know you yet. With that being said, let me introduce myself. My name is Amber and I’ve been in the events and hospitality industry for 10 years after transitioning from the Higher Education & Student Affairs world. Here are a few fun facts about me:
I LOVE interesting, unique experiences. I got to swim with dolphins for a recent birthday!
Laughing is my favorite and bad dad jokes are part of my conversational arsenal.
Planning events is like putting together a real-time, larger-than-life puzzle. It's so satisfying to fit all the pieces together and watch the event come together flawlessly.
My husband and I have fully remodeled 2 kitchens over the course of 2 years. Knocking down walls and ripping up floors is a GREAT stress reliever!
Being outside and active is very important to me. All sorts of issues can be resolved with a walk and a chat.
I'm a huge proponent of education, whether that's gaining practical industry knowledge (CMP, here I come!), learning more about people, or having discussions about big ideas and small details. I believe education and communication are incredibly important aspects of event planning.
